How to unite obverse and reverse sides of the coins.

 

1-) Open Adobe Photoshop.  Scan coins one by one or as a group, obverse and reverse sides separately.

2-) Press control key + N to get a new blank page.  Select width let us say as 1000 pixels and height as 700 pixels.  Select background as white.

3-) Then press "OK".  Now you have got your blank page named as "Untitled-3"

4-) Left-click when your cursor in the untitled-1 area.

5-) Select the "rectangular marquee toll" or just pres "M"

6-) Select one of the obverse sides from the untitled-1.

7-) while your cursor in the selected area, press "control key" and left button of your mouse together and drag the selected area toward the blank page.

8-) Release the left button of your mouse.  Now you moved the selected area into your blank page.

9-) Using the marquee tool select again the moved obverse side in "untitled-3"

10-) Press "control key" and "T" in the same time to rotate your image.

11-) When your cursor is out of the selected area rotate the image as you like while pressing the left button of your mouse.

12-) Double click the left button of your mouse when your cursor in the selected area.  Now your image was rotated and inscriptions are horizontal.

13-) Click the left button when your cursor is out of the selected area to cancel the selection

14-) Now select the "Move tool" or just press "V".

15-) While pressing down the left button drag the image to the upper left corner.

16-) Now activate the "untitled-2" by left-clicking over it.  Repeat the same steps for obverse side.

17-) Using the "marquee tool" select the proper area over the reverse side which is unnecessary and to be erased.

18-) Select the "Erase tool" or just press "E".

19-) Select "Brushes"

20-) Select an eraser which has a proper size.

21-) While pressing the left button erase the unnecessary area from the reverse side.

22-) Select the marquee tool.

23-) And press the left button when your cursor out of the selected area to cancel the selection.

24-) Select again the "Move tool".

25-) While pressing the left button drag the reverse picture to a proper location near obverse.

26-) Release the left button.

See the picture

27-) Press the "Layer" at the left upper corner then select "Flatten image".

29-) Then crop the last image properly.

30-) Congratulations. You have done it.
